BUPA, Cromwell Hospital

Cromwell Hospital, embarked on a number of major refurbishments, consisting of M&E essential upgrade works, which included;

• Fire improvement works
• Roof replacement
• Redecoration to bedrooms, main entrances and other areas.

There was also a major refurbishment of the electrical infrastructure, which consisted of the main building and 8 floors. Replacing the existing generators and increasing the hospital generators capacity and replacing the hospitals 3 main LV panels, rising bus bars, MCC panels including fire man switches and UPS systems which served theatres and critical ward areas.

The refurbishment work was undertook in two distinct phases. The first phase of works includes the replacement of the generators, main LV panels, UPS and MCC panels. The second phase includes the replacement of the rising bus bars and associated supplies to existing distribution boards and the installation of a new fireman’s control panel to cater for all new and existing MCC panels. Finally it includes dual supplies to medical air plant and lifts.
